Nooshin is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans the canvas, the stage, and the water. Based in Saskatoon, she creates original paintings and custom commissions on a wide range of media – from traditional canvas and paper to hand-painted shells and found objects. Painting is at the heart of everything she makes, shaped by a lifetime of performing, competing, and creating.
The Painter
A Lifelong Painter
Nooshin has been painting for 10 years, developing a style that moves between miniature and bold abstraction. Her work explores nostalgia, nature, and the human figure, and she’s drawn to surfaces most artists overlook. A painting on shell or stone carries a texture and permanence that paper never could – and that experimentation has become a signature of the studio.
On Stage
A Background in Theatre
Before and alongside her painting, Nooshin trained and performed as an actor, earning an award in Fajr International Festival for her work in theatre. The stage taught her how to hold attention, build a scene, and tell a story in a single frame – instincts that shape how she composes every painting.
In the Water
A Competitive Swimmer
Nooshin is also an accomplished swimmer, having earned medals in Iran. The discipline of training – the patience, the repetition, the pursuit of a clean line – carries directly into the studio. Art and athletics, for her, are the same practice in different forms.
